OPTIGEN - This is an OFA-approved genetic testing laboratory for DNA-mutation tests for DM, prcd-PRA and PLL in American Eskimo Dogs. Find out what the test results mean, the accuracy range, and how you can get your Eskies tested.
PAW PRINT GENETICS - This is another OFA-approved genetic testing laboratory for DM, prcd-PRA and PLL, and additionally Thrombopathia, in American Eskimo Dogs.
PRA CLEAR/NORMAL LIST (what does this mean?) - This is an old voluntary database of American Eskimo Dogs who are Clear/Normal (formerly Pattern A) for prcd-PRA in American Eskimo Dogs. It's not really used anymore since OFA now lists results on their site.
TEARSTAIN REMOVER - IT WORKS!! Don't bother with the powder, it's a pain and a mess. Just use the liquid on the pads (or on a corner of paper towel) twice a day until the tearstains are gone. It takes two or three months. Patience and persistence are the keys! Then after that you can just use it once every other day or so for maintenance. Safe for puppies too! The "original" (refrigerated) kind works better; I haven't had luck with the "NR" (non-refrigerated) kind. Get a small jar (2 oz.), it does go bad after a while (it will change color and have an odor).
